The Lovely Hour: Shine Your Light

Sunshine and sunflowers by Todd Kent

Summer is around the corner, the days have grown quite long, and even in Ohio where the weather is anything but predictable, we have turned a corner (knock on wood), whereby the warmth seems to have decided to stick around for a while. With the sun finally shining brightly, and the buzz and frenzy of a quickly approaching summer, it’s all got me thinking about what it means to shine one’s own light. AND, what stands in the way?

During this month’s Lovely Hour, we’ll talk about it! As always, I’ve got some fun activities, prompts, and opportunities to share stories. Gatherings are always casual, and food and/or beverages are welcome!

Before the meeting, here’s your tiny, but mighty mission for this month: List 3 ways you personally can shine YOUR light. And, notice one place where you dim it. You can share as much or as little as you like when we gather. The main goal is to be thoughtful about it, and reflect on what your light looks like in action. That’s it!
